What are Foreign Bodies?

Foreign bodies consist of a variety of different substances such as wood, hair , guitar strings, metal, glass, and living tissues such as sea urchins, sea anemones, bee stings, etc. All of these foreign bodies have specific protocols in order to remove them in a safe and timely manner.
Certain diagnostic tests would be performed specifically depending on the type of material present. Foreign bodies are typically extremely difficult to remove. It takes exceptional skill in order to locate and isolate them and to remove them in total without destroying anatomical tissues.
